Ruth Davis FGA DGA PjDip is an Associate Director and Head of Jewellery for Scotland, based in our Edinburgh HQ.
Though taking an active interest in silver and objets de vertu, Ruth’s main expertise is in gemstones and jewellery. With a keen interest in 20th century jewellery, Ruth carries out valuations for various purposes, gives talks on both gemmology and jewellery history.
After studying History of Art & English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, Ruth joined the Lyon & Turnbull team in 2012. She has several professional qualifications including her Professional Jewellers Diploma from the National Association of Goldsmiths, and her FGA and DGA awards from the Gemmological Institute of Great Britain. Ruth continues her study with various short courses in gemmology and diamond assessment, always taking a keen interest in industry and scientific developments in the subject.
