Description
In the style of Cornelis Jansz Van Der Burch, Delf, the silver mounts to the shell body with engraved foliate detail, with a warrior holding a lance in his right hand and a shield in his left hand, engraved to the underside, ‘WILLEM PIETERS 1601’ raised on a knopped tear drop stem, and domed, all with chased fruit and cherub decoration
