Heraldry
With arms of Davenport of Bramhall, Cheshire, most likely for William Davenport (1663 – 1706) and his wife Margaret or one of their children
Note
The Davenports of Bramhall Hall were fierce Royalists supporting the Stuart dynasty during the Civil War and subsequent Commonwealth Period. Indeed Bramhall Hall was the scene of many affray was searched on numerous occasion by Parliamentarian troops.
The family had a 500 year unbroken connection to the Hall with the male line dying out in 1829 and the family finally leaving in 1877.
