Footnote
The Royal Agricultural Hall was built in 1862 in Islington, London with the Foundation stone being laid in 1861.
It was the Smithfield Club who instigated the build, they had originally held their annual exhibition of livestock near Smithfield Meat Market near the Barbican but had outgrown this and desired a bigger formal premise. They held their first exhibition in 1862.
