Footnote
The Great Eastern Railway was formed in 1862 and was an amalgamation of the Eastern Countries Railway along with other smaller railway companies. In the early 20th century it was the busiest steam-hauled commuter system in the world serving Cambridge, Chelmsford, Colchester, Great Yarmouth, Ipswich, King's Lynn, Lowestoft, Norwich, Southend-on-Sea and seaside resorts including Cromer.
The company grew encompassing other railway lines and is still recognisable today with the East Eastern Main line route serving London to Norwich.
