Note: John Potenger matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, on 26 May 1664, & spent his career in government legal posts. Potenger's major published work was "A pastoral Reflection on Death" (1691), and his translations from Latin appeared in Nahum Tate's miscellany (1685) and in the Dryden-Tonson second miscellany (1685).
