Shepard on the limitation page, 4to, viii [4] 100 pp., original dark red quarter cloth, printed label to front board, frontispiece and illustrations throughout the text by E. H. Shepard, fore and bottom edges untrimmed, with the dust jacket. Small bump to foot of front board, a hint of cockling to pastedowns, customary browning to free endpapers, small blemishes to fore margins of pp. 66 and 99, dust jacket sunned on and either side of spine-panel, spine-panel slightly nicked at head, panels slightly faded, a hint of sunning along extremities, very slight rumpling along top edge
