13 postcards, some used postally from 1902 onwards; one large albumen photograph of St Kilda women by G.W. Wilson, late 19th century, 29 x 18cm, edge fading and corner damage, tear at the top right; 1909 snapshot of Alice MacLachlan on the island using a spinning wheel; later snapshot photographs, some reproduction photographs and letters dating from the 1980s and 1990s relating to research into the MacLachlan family and an 1876 birth certificate for John MacLachlan (quantity)
Provenance
Formerly owned by the Late Murray Mackinnon, a renowned collector of photography documenting Scottish life from the mid-19th to early-20th century.

Rev. Peter MacLachlan was the Minister on St Kilda from 1906 to 1909.
