Folio, hand-coloured engraved general title-page and second hand-coloured volume title, 96 hand-coloured engraved double-page maps, a couple of hand-coloured astronomical illustrations in text, second title with printed slip pasted in at centre as issued, later panelled calf gilt rebacked with 20th-century spine, some marginal foxing and spotting where items have been laid down, a few small tears including split to hemispherical map, possible light dampstaining to a few leaves, some tearing and chipping to folding river maps, two maps with trimmed-down coloured maps from a seemingly smaller copy pasted over other maps as can be seen in other copies, binding corners a little chewed and repaired, endpapers renewed
