Rare pamphlet, no other copy traced, though the work is cited in Henri Bencker, 'Chronological and Analytical List of Various Tables or Treatises on Navigation intended to facilitate Nautical Computations and Accelerate Ships' Position Finding', Hydrographic Review, 1943, p. 119. Fitzroy was captain of HMS Beagle on Darwin's famous voyage and was later appointed to run the newly established meteorological department at the Board of Trade in 1854.
