Note: Second and first editions respectively of Franklin's two works. The second edition of the Narrative of a Journey is described as such in the Introduction (p. xiv), and is extended to 784 from 768 pp.; the title-page remains dated 1823, but it was 'presumably produced to accompany the second volume' on its appearance in 1828 (Abbey).
