This would have been one of a number of preparatory maquettes made. It is known that a Bacchus Enfant was cast in glass and exhibited at the Musée des arts dècoratifs in 1933. A photograph showing the piece is in Marcilhac, F., R. Lalique 1860-1945 maître-verrier analyse de l’œuvre et catalogue raisonné, Paris, 2011, p.1057.
