Desert glass, also known as Libyan Desert Glass, is a natural glass formed from the intense heat of meteorite impacts or atmospheric explosions, melting silica-rich sand into translucent or yellowish-green glass. Found primarily in the eastern Sahara Desert, it has been used for ancient tools and jewellery, including adornments in King Tutankhamun's tomb.
