The cloudlike forms of the gogotte are perhaps the most remarkable natural sculptures produced. Formed by the movement of water through silicate sand – the resulting sculpture possesses an ethereal quality.
Gogottes are known to have been a great source of inspiration to the French Surrealists, whilst the British sculptor Henry Moore owned an example.
