Description
bronze, the left side fragment of a Roman military diploma dating to between 142 - 148 A.D., from the reign of Emperor Antoninus Pius, it was awarded to a veteran named Damanaeus, who served in the Cohors V Delmatarum, though whether this was in Mauretania Tingitana or Germania Superior remains uncertain, the reverse lists seven witnesses, including the cohort commander “P. Servilius”
