Description
the 12 inch silvered breakarch dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, engraved spandrels, signed to the arch ‘John Scott, Edinburgh’, the hood with broken swan neck pediment, pierced fret panels, brass roundels and centred by a ball finial, the dial flanked by free fluted brass Doric columns and glazed panels to the sides, the case with shaped arch trunk door flanked by fluted quarter columns, on a square plinth base with a scalloped marquetry roundel to the centre on a bracket foot, the twin train movement striking to a bell
