Theo Fennell (b. 1951) studied art at York and the Byam Shaw. going on to become an apprentice designer with Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd. He established his own workshop in Hatton Garden to design and create silverware. In 1982 he opened his first shop in Chelsea's Fulham Road. Fennell experimented across a broad spectrum of design, all the upholding the belief that jewellery and silverware can be irreverent as well as beautiful, and exhibiting a scrupulous eye for minute detail.
