First Foulis edition of the complete works of Homer, a superb copy of one of the triumphs of 18th-century Scottish (and British) printing in Greek, in a handsome near-contemporary binding by Charles Hering (1762/2-1815), a German émigré who became one of London's leading practitioners of the art in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
