Description
the exterior of the bowl painted with an animated scene of young boys at play in a garden, some playing musical instruments and others lighting firecrackers, the dish similarly painted to the exterior with boys dancing and playing music, the eight figures arranged in radiating fashion around a young scholar in the centre, suggesting the 'celebration of the passing of the imperial examination' motif, the exterior of the dish with further boys, both the bowl and the dish with a six-character iron-red mark within a square reserve to the base (2)
